FA Thailand Increases Support for Thai Women’s League 2025

BANGKOK – The Football Association of Thailand (FA Thailand) has announced expanded financial support for the Thai Women’s League 2025, marking the 11th season of the country’s premier women’s football competition. The initiative aims to enhance the development of women’s football in Thailand by increasing prize money and financial assistance for participating clubs.

In Division 1, the championship-winning team will now receive 600,000 baht in prize money, while support funding has been raised to 500,000 baht, covering travel expenses. The prize structure has been adjusted to include rewards for the top six teams, an increase from the previous three. Clubs in Division 2 will also benefit from greater financial backing, with support rising from 100,000 baht to 300,000 baht, including travel subsidies.

FA Thailand President Nualphan Lamsam emphasized the importance of strengthening the domestic league, pointing to Thailand’s participation in two consecutive FIFA Women’s World Cups as evidence of the country’s potential in international competitions. The financial boost is expected to create stronger competition, nurture emerging talent, and contribute to the long-term success of Thai women’s football.

The official launch event was attended by football administrators, club representatives, and stakeholders, who welcomed the increased investment and its potential impact on the sport’s growth in Thailand.
