Golf enthusiasts and travellers have a new reason to visit Surat Thani as the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) launches the “Surat Thani Green Fee with Meaning” campaign. Running from January 15 to May 31, 2025, this initiative merges world-class golfing with sustainable tourism, set against the stunning backdrop of Ratchaprapa Dam and Khao Sok National Park.
In partnership with the Ratchaprapa Dam Golf Course and the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, the campaign offers a 50% discount on Green Fees for the first 600 participants, available on both weekdays and weekends. While caddy and golf cart fees are not included, the offer provides an affordable way for golfers to enjoy a serene and eco-conscious experience in one of Thailand’s most picturesque regions.
The programme emphasizes Surat Thani’s unique appeal as a destination for nature-based tourism and recreation. The dramatic landscapes of Ratchaprapa Dam, coupled with nearby attractions such as Khao Sam Kloe, Pra Kie Phet Cave, and Tham Thalu, invite visitors to explore the area’s natural and cultural heritage. Boat trips from Cheow Lan pier and floating accommodations further enhance the experience, offering a blend of adventure and relaxation.
This initiative also aims to position Surat Thani as a hub for sustainable tourism. By encouraging eco-conscious travel, the campaign aligns with broader efforts to support local economies and promote environmental stewardship.
