On January 15, 2025, the Surat Thani Provincial Social Development and Human Security Office initiated a short-term agricultural training course as part of its ongoing efforts to improve the quality of life for vulnerable groups. The course, which is the second batch under the project designed to strengthen immunity and enhance life quality, was held at the Somjai Mai Room, Kaew Samui Resort Hotel in Surat Thani’s Mueang District.

The training focused on short-term crop farming techniques and included participants from various vulnerable categories such as elderly individuals living alone, single parents, skipped-generation families, and those receiving career loans. A total of 141 individuals attended, including local government officials from seven districts. Mrs. Punniphak Chuensuwan, the Surat Thani Provincial Social Development and Human Security Officer, presided over the opening ceremony, while Ms. Puangthip Poolsawat, a specialist social development officer, provided a report on the project.
